Despite being crippled by arthritis and confined to a wheelchair herself, Mrs Bochenek and her friend, Dr Joyce Peake, set up the Horder recuperative home at Crowborough in East Sussex, specifically for people with arthritis. The centre was named after Lord Horder of Ashford who became the first President. Date: circa 1960s
