Granite wall. Ancient wall made from blocks of granite, with ferns, moss and lichens growing on the stones. This section is part of the wall enclosing Whiddon Deer Park. This park was established in 1570 by Sir John Whyddon of Whyddon House. It is thought that the wall dates from the same period. Whiddon Deer Park, designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in 1991 and owned by the National Trust, is located in the Teign Valley on Dartmoor, Devon, UK
