This print showcases the exquisite craftsmanship of Indian metal work, embroidery, weaving, and painting in 1898. The unknown creator has beautifully captured various artistic forms in this collection. Figures 1 to 4 highlight the intricate details of an Ancus, a tool used for driving and training elephants. The chiselled iron instrument (Fig 1) is followed by pendants and buttons embossed in gold and chiselled (Figs 2-3). Fig 4 displays an enamelled Ancus adorned with jewels, showcasing the opulence of Indian artistry. Moving on to Figs 5-9, we are presented with stunning decorations from enamelled arms that exhibit a harmonious blend of colors and patterns.
