This stunning oil painting captures the revered and respected figure of Rt. Rev. Monsignor James O'Laverty (1826-1906) in the later years of his illustrious career. Monsignor O'Laverty was an Irish-born Roman Catholic prelate who dedicated his life to the service of the Church. He was ordained a priest in 1850 and was later appointed as the Bishop of Dromore in 1886.
