Military Badge
Cap badge, other ranks?, Royal Warwickshire Regiment, 1940 (c).This regiment?s badge depicts an antelope with a coronet around its neck and a rope attached thereto which is draped towards the front, then overs its back, falling to the near side. The antelope stands on a scroll inscribed with the unit title. Traditionally, the antelope badge is associated with the Warwickshire Regiment?s service in Spain during the War of the Spanish Succession (1704-11) when it captured an enemy standard that bore this animal?s image.
