New Chelsea Fire Station, Kings Road, London
Opened in 1965, Chelsea Fire Station was the last fire station commissioned to be built by the London County Council prior to the creation of the Greater London Council in 1965. Located in the Kings Road it replaced Brompton fire station which was closed down. In 1968 two firemen from Chelsea fire station lost their lives fighting a fire in the Kings Road, Chelsea
