John Wolcot, also known by his nom de plume Peter Pindar, was a prominent English satirical poet and writer of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Born in 1738, Wolcot was known for his biting wit and insightful commentary on the political and social issues of his time. He died in 1819, leaving behind a rich literary legacy that continues to be celebrated and studied today.
